Have your interests evolved since you've been a fan?

Very recently I've become very interested in India and Indian cuisine. What I don't know, is whether or not it is becase of my interest in Sir Ben who is of Indian descent. For instance, I've always been interested in foreign cultures, but recently it has become more and more so, and as for the food, I never used to like it all that much. I suppose it could be that my tastes are just evolving though.
