Stage fright leads Alice down the rabbit hole, through the looking glass, and into the pool of tears of Wonderland. Here she meets the oddest creatures imaginable, where doors lead into trees and claustrophobic halls where you shrink to three inches or grow to ten feet and get stuck in a vault. You can take tea with a Mad Hatter and play croquet with a Queen made-up as a playing card, listen to singing trees and talking flowers, or get advice from a hallucinating veteran caterpillar. But everything ...

What do you all think about Roman Polanski's films? A few nights ago, with some family members, we watched The Pianist, which they had never seen before. At the end, one of them said "oh, Roman Polanski. Well, I should have known!"... I don't quite know what they meant by that. I think his films are good. There's a lot of effort that goes into them. There are too many directors nowadays who go in for the special effects over the story line side, where as Roman pays a lot of attention ...

Which other actors do you like?

Even though, BK is one of my favourite actors, I do of course enjoy watching others as well. If I had to make a list of my favourites, I think I would choose:

James Nesbitt.

Robert Hardy.

Whoopi Goldberg.

Daniel Day Lewis.

Orlando Bloom.

Rupert Grint.

Eli Wallach.

Jennifer Aniston.

Kate Winslet.

I have to admit that I tend to latch on to male actors more easily than female ones, and of course, my list is probably longer than this one if I really put my mind to it.

I'm just wondering what sort of music you forumers listen to. Myself, I like a big variety of music, of all genres. At the moment, I'm listening mainly to Oriental Fusion or general Fusion styles. If I had to choose my favourite singers, I would tell you frankly that they are Sarit Hadad (an Israeli star) and Celine Dion, whom I have seen twice in concert, the last time being on 2nd May 2008.

I was very happy to find this forum as I have been following Sir Ben Kingsley's work for many years. I have all of his films, mainly on DVD (for better picture quality), and to be honest, I have even had to buy a completely new DVD case, because my collection takes up so much room.

I really hope this forum gets more members. It's scandalous for me that there is no other proper discussion board, and even his own site is now down.

I've read in many places that BK is a very overrated actor. Some people think that it's the whole "gandhi" and "schinlder's list" thing that have started it. By that, they mean to say that because he has been in some very good and ground-breaking films, he is often overrated and his talents exaggerated. Other people think that the amount of films he makes adds to the whole problem. For example, there is a forum (I think it's a forum), called something like "the home of the astoundingly overrated" ...

I found this interview on YouTube. It was for the Al Jazeera English program "One on One", presented by Riz Khan. It's a good interview, but I CAN'T BELIEVE that Riz made a mistake like saying that "Sexy Beast" was made in 2006...

Anyway, watch when Riz says that he's been afraid of SBK ever since seeing him as Don Logan in Sexy Beast... He gets no reaction, at least none that you can see.

I was reading an article today that announced that Sir Ben is to play the part of an admiral of the 14-18 war in a new drama called "Jutland 1916". The drama is based on Peter Hart's historical novel which charters one of the most famous battles in History, and one of the most important ones of WWI, as Germany and Great Britain fought for control of the North Sea. Even though the Germans retreated, Historians are still debating over which side actually triumphed in the battle.
